Til (sesame) and Gud (Jaggery) intake is very good in winter. Sesame is very rich in Calcium and Jaggery in Iron. Both of them give warmth to the body. So, it's very common to have sweets made from Til and Gud in winter and it's delicious and healthy too. It's also custom to make and eat something made from Til and Gud in Sankranti.
